But what was the overall quality of the performance? Not just your playing (which may have suffered in isolation), but the aggregate, group sound?

&lt;em&gt;…It comes from the group’s consensus…. Maybe a better way to put it would be that the music is the group coming to a consensus….&lt;/em&gt;

Aren’t you just shifting the goal posts? If it’s a matter of consensus, the question in a sense becomes, who (helps to) makes the consensus if not you?</description>
